In 2016, Emancipator took the international White Ribbon Campaign to the Netherlands. With the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, we drew attention to violence against women and the role of men and masculinity in this violence, and called on men to speak out against it. In 2016, we used the slogan ‘Violence against women should never be an option’. Since 2017, we use the slogan ‘Stop violence against women’. In 2018 we organised the campaign together with Rutgers, Movisie and Doetank PEER.
