Toolkit
A guide for professionals in and around education
In 2020, we launched the toolkit Talent Development of Boys, developed by Emancipator together with Stijn Schenk. It is a toolkit for professionals in and around education working with boys. The toolkit provides information, inspiration and concrete tools to work with gender stereotypes in and around the classroom. More specifically: to give boys and men room to develop fully, outside the constraints of oppressive masculinity norms.
Download the online version of the toolkit here. It has also appeared in print and is available for free, also in large numbers; email Hannah.
Our offer for schools
We offer interventions in schools for students, teachers and parents, based on the toolkit. To show students that not only can they become anything they want, but also that they can want to become anything.
With our workshops, we offer information, inspiration and tools for action. They consist of interactive work forms that encourage reflection and, above all, self-experience of how gender and masculinity work. Our sessions are basically always about the same thing: gender in general and masculinity in particular. Within that, we focus on a more specific theme.

Peer educators wanted
To deliver the workshops in schools, we will train a group of trainers in the first half of 2021. From 4-6 June, we will organise a training weekend. More information will follow. (This project has ended be we always need new peer educators for our various workshops)

Training courses for professionals
Emancipator provides training on and with the toolkit, for teachers, parents, and everyone in and around education. A training provides information about and insight into the workings of gender, and specifically masculinity, and gives you tools and guidance to work on it with yourself and with others. Moreover, a training provides the opportunity to hear from others how they deal with the topics covered in the toolkit. So a training course is a valuable addition and entry point to the toolkit.

On 13 May, we gave a public online training, a video recording of which is available here.
